In 1934 James H. Weinheimer an oil company chemist helped his sisters manage her carpet workroom after the death of her husband. Shortly thereafter he started the Weinheimer Rug and Carpet Works. This company expanded from an installation workroom to offer in-plant and on-site cleaning services and later a contract and retail floor covering and interiors division selling hardwood, carpet, resilient and other flooring products and installation services. Terry worked with the various divisions from childhood, later operating his own flooring company. Like Terry, Kevin was raised in the flooring industry.
In 1990 Terry Weinheimer and Kevin Weinheimer moved to Oregon where the Weinheimer Group a floor covering inspection & consulting company was began. Centrally located in Eugene, Oregon, servicing Oregon and SW Washington with service to the Salem, Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas on a weekly basis and regular visits to Medford, Grants Pass, Roseburg, Bend, Redmond, Sisters and other areas.
